On March 30, Civil Solidarity Liberal NGO sent an information request to the Public Relations and Information Center under the RA Prime Minister's Office. We were told on April 4 that it would take 30 days to provide the information. Given that large amount of information should be provided and that it would be available to us by the end of the month, and we came to terms with the situation.
But until today - May 7, the SNCO has not provided us with the information we needed.
Pursuant to the RA Law on Freedom of Information, SNCO was supposed to provide us with the necessary information by April 30 at the latest.
Breaking the law seems to be a common practice at the SNCO as this is not the first time when the state body, whose main function is to work with information, responds to our information requests by violating the terms prescribed by the law.
Maybe the SNCO is not able to decide on how to reply to our requests and violates the law to obtain extra time to think of answers or maybe it really does not manage to do its work?
However, the question arises: if the SNCO fails or does not manage to perform its core functions in terms of properly responding to requests, why does the Government add new functions for it?
Please be reminded that rumors are flying that the SNCO is currently not so much engaged in acting in accordance with its statutory goals and objectives but in managing “factories of fake users.” Maybe that is the reason why the SNCO does not find time to meet the deadlines set by the law.
