On October 1, the EAEU Supreme Council met in Yerevan. Before the session, when the EAEU state heads took a photo together at Baghramyan 26 and approached the entrance of the residence, a Georgian journalist from Rustavi2 TV broke through the "wall" of the security and loudly asked a question to the President Vladimir Putin.
Although Putin did not stop, the journalist asked: "When are you going to fulfill your obligations?" Putin replied from afar. "Russia always fulfills its obligations."
The journalist continued: "When will Russia withdraw from the occupied territories of Georgia?" In response, Putin said: "When we will make such a decision."
According to the information of AntiFake.am, the prime minister’s spokesman Vladimir Karapetyan was personally responsible for this act of provocation.
According to our knowledge, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia declined to accredit Rustavi2 TV so it would be able to cover the EAEU Supreme Council meeting. However, the spokesman of the prime minister managed to take care of the journalist's presence at Baghramyan 26 and allowed her to ask questions to Vladimir Putin.
The Georgian journalist was Mariam Menabde, who prepared reportage on her questions and Putin's responses, which was published on Rustavi2's website. ("When will Russia end the occupation?" – Rustavi 2-s question to Putin).
We can state that Vladimir Karapetyan still keeps his anti-Russian stance, which is regularly displayed on different platforms in different ways. This time Karapetyan's anti-Russian attitude was manifested by providing the Georgian journalist with access to such a large-scale event. This is very dangerous not only for the international perception of Armenia, but also for the allied strategic relations between Armenia and Russia.
