The political force that seized power through political blackmail in 2018 has once again brutally overthrew the constitutional order, finally closing the page of the rule of law and democracy in the Republic of Armenia by occupying the Constitutional Court and appropriating the powers of the President.
The “Civil Consciousness” Liberal NGO strongly condemns the continuous process of overthrowing the constitutional order by the ruling power.
Those 89 citizens who participated in the process of overthrowing constitutional order and appropriating the power, have committed a crime, for which they will be accountable soon.
At the same time, we note that the parliamentary opposition has the opportunity to stop this anti-constitutional process. In this regard, we welcome the initiative of the “Prosperous Armenia” faction to appeal to the Constitutional Court and call on the other parliamentary fraction to join that. Otherwise, standing next to the 89 criminals who toppled the constitutional order, that force will finally fix its place in the garbage dump of history and will be among the 89 criminals who toppled the constitutional order.
We call on the extra-parliamentary and parliamentary healthy social and political forces, that realize the devastating consequences of the overthrow of the constitutional order for the statehood of Armenia, to unite and join this vital and urgent process of finally removing Nikol Pashinyan, the political responsible for all this.
