"There is not a single "Albanian" or "Udi" component in Dadivank Armenian monastery, ranging from the architectural design of churches and secular buildings to sculptures, khachkars and frescoes. The buildings of the monastery (including secular ones) are covered with about 200 Armenian inscriptions of the 12th-17th centuries and there is not a single letter in another language.
What makes Azerbaijan, declaring Dadivank as Albanian or Udi, while attracting supposedly religious Udis, is nothing more than a violent rejection of the religious and cultural heritage from its creators, an obvious act of cultural genocide," says Hamlet Petrosyan, Head of the Tigranakert archeological expedition group.
