Hunger strike, Day 11. About Yesterday. Political Prisoner Narek Samsonyan
Warm greetings from "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution. Today marks the 11th day of my hunger strike, and thank God, my body still allows me to keep my promise of maintaining daily communication. I will be as brief as possible today; I will simply provide you with information regarding yesterday's situation.
Yesterday morning, I experienced compressing chest pains and shortness of breath, which was not a very good sign. Since on Saturdays and Sundays, the 1,100-person personnel at the Penitentiary is served by only 2-3 paramedics (attention: paramedics, not doctors), they were forced to call an ambulance. Upon examination on the spot, the ambulance staff saw the need to transfer me to a hospital, as the symptoms suggested a pre-infarction condition. At the hospital, after appropriate examinations and a troponin sample test, the pre-infarction condition was ruled out, and I was transferred back to the Penitentiary, to the punishment cell. That is all regarding yesterday. Thank you for your concern.
In yesterday's reactions, different approaches regarding the hunger strike were noticeable, but I will not respond to them today. Instead, I will simply ask all interested ones to read the post by my good friend, political scientist Vladimir Martirosyan, which will be posted in the comments of this post. Knowing me well (he was the chair of my master's thesis defense committee at YSU) and having a brilliant command of his profession, Vladimir Martirosyan has presented all the problematic and targeted aspects regarding the declaration of a hunger strike in a very accessible and understandable way. I am grateful to my friend for such explanatory and professional observations. I subscribe to every word.

Grève de la faim, 11ème jour. Le retour du prisonnier politique Narek Samsonyan à propos d'hier
Salutations chaleureuses depuis l'établissement pénitentiaire « Armavir ». Aujourd'hui marque le 11ème jour de ma grève de la faim et, Dieu merci, mon organisme me permet encore de tenir ma promesse de communiquer quotidiennement.
Aujourd'hui, je serai aussi bref que possible ; je me contenterai de vous informer de la situation d'hier. Hier matin, j'ai ressenti des douleurs compressives au niveau du thorax ainsi qu'une difficulté respiratoire, ce qui n'était pas très bon signe. Étant donné que les samedis et dimanches, l'établissement pénitentiaire, qui compte 1100 personnes, n'est desservi que par 2 ou 3 infirmiers (attention : des infirmiers, pas des médecins), ils ont été contraints d'appeler une ambulance. Après m'avoir examiné sur place, le personnel ambulancier a jugé nécessaire de me transférer à l'hôpital, car les symptômes s'apparentaient à un état pré-infarctus. À l'hôpital, après les examens appropriés et un prélèvement de troponine, l'état pré-infarctus a été écarté, et j'ai été transféré de nouveau au centre pénitentiaire, en cellule disciplinaire. Voilà pour la journée d'hier. Merci de vous être inquiétés.
Dans les réactions d'hier, différentes approches concernant la grève de la faim étaient également perceptibles, mais je n'y répondrai pas aujourd'hui. Je demanderai simplement à toutes les personnes intéressées de lire la publication de mon bon ami, le politologue Vladimir Martirosyan, qui sera placée dans les commentaires de ce post. Vladimir Martirosyan, me connaissant bien (il était président du jury de ma thèse de master à l'Université d'État d'Erévan) et maîtrisant brillamment sa profession, a présenté de manière très accessible et compréhensible tous les aspects problématiques et ciblés concernant la déclaration d'une grève de la faim. Je remercie mon ami pour ces observations explicatives et professionnelles. Je souscris à chaque mot.
